ABOUT US
Castle Siavonga is  surrounded on  3 sides byLake Kariba, created by damning the Zambezi River in 1958. We have planted coconut, mango, marula, orange, lime and guava trees alongside the local varieties of flora. There are plenty of bird varieties including paradise fly catchers, kingfishers, eagles, hammerkops, etc., also crocs in the lake and occasionally we get a visit from the local Hippo who enjoys eating the lawns. We have built a lake retaining wall of local stone and landscaped in a tiered fashion that is watered daily, affording extensive lawns and a park like ambience. The property is secured by a gate and a wall of bougainvillea and cacti on the road side entrance. We have the castle, lodge/cottage, 'hobbit house'  available. The maids and gardeners keep all in top condition. There are good local restaurants within 15 mins. drive as well as some modest shopping facilities.
